Mostly endodontists are dentists, however, they have completed an additional 2-3 years of specialized training beyond dental school. But at the initial level, applicants must have completed their 10+2 with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as well as electives such as Biotechnology, Psychology, etc.
These subjects would provide the much-needed impetus to pursue a career in Science after 12th grade. In addition, students can opt for a BDS course to acquire basic knowledge in endodontics and then specialize in dental sciences.
